Punters have been quick to assess Chelsea's appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager.
There has been an immediate reaction in the Premier League betting, after the Italian ended an eight-year stint as manager of AC Milan, to become Chelsea's fifth manager in 21 months, following Jose Mourinho, Avram Grant, Luiz Felipe Scolari and Guus Hiddink.Ancelotti won two Champions League and one Serie A title during his time in charge of Milan and the Blues officials believe he is best equipped to bring them the European prize they crave and close the gap on Manchester United domestically.
Ancelotti is one of a rare breed to have won the European Cup as a player and manager and Chelsea fans will be hoping their team will be in the Champions League final in Madrid next May, having narrowly failed to beat eventual winners Barcelona in the semi-finals last month.
