Blues eye old boy return

Portsmouth are bracing themselves as Chelsea are reportedly set to make a £12m offer to take Glen Johnson back to Stamford Bridge.

The England right back has had a fantastic season with Pompey and was one of the major plus points for the club with praise coming from all quarters, not least England coach Fabio Capello.

New Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is said to be keen on taking Johnson back to the club as one of his first priorities and he is ready to offer £12m for the player.

The defender was the first signing of the Roman Abramovich era at Chelsea, joining from West Ham United for £6m in 2003, but despite scoring four goals in 69 appearances he was shipped out to Pompey on loan in 2006, before making the move permanent for around £4m a year later.

With a new owner poised to takeover at Fratton Park, it would be a surprise if one of his first actions was to allow one of the club's stars to leave and any Chelsea bid is expected to be rejected.
Betfair is a bit different to your normal bookie; they actually want you to win. Instead of a bookmaker setting the odds, their customers do. That means you. And because you compete against each other, you get better odds. Up to 20% better odds in fact. You can either make a back bet (bet on who's going to win) or place a lay bet (bet against something happening). Betfair matches people on either side of the bet with the odds they agree. Simple.
