Chelsea confident landing AC Milan coach Galli

Chelsea are continuing talks with AC Milan over assistant coach Filippo Galli.

New Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti wants Galli, a former Watford coach, to join him at Stamford Bridge.

The Times says Chelsea are continuing negotiations with Milan to bring Galli to London as assistant manager and are confident of getting their man, although Ancelotti has expressed a willingness to work with Ray Wilkins, the assistant first-team coach, irrespective of whether Galli is recruited.

Leonardo, the new Milan coach, confirmed yesterday that Mauro Tassotti would be staying at the club as assistant coach, leaving the door open for Galli to leave.
