Hiddink backs Carletto for Chelsea

Outgoing Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink believes Carlo Ancelotti would be an ideal candidate to succeed him, but has one piece of advice for him.

Dutch tactician Hiddink stepped in as caretaker manager after the dismissal of Luiz Felipe Scolari.

After successfully steadying the ship, Hiddink is ready to return to the Russian national side and Ancelotti is favourite to take the reins in West London.

“I know Carlo personally because we have met loads of times,” the ex-South Korea man told the Daily Mirror.

“The last time we met was last July at Jaap Stam's farewell games in Holland.

“I can tell you that Carlo is an excellent person who is very direct, honest and open.

“He has had a fantastic career as a player and as a Coach and has won so many trophies.

“If Ancelotti does take over then my advice to him would be to learn English quickly.”
